About MVMT Performance and Rehab

We help the athletes and active adults in Green Bay move better and recover from injuries faster, keeping you out of the doctor’s office and in the activities you love, pain free.

At MVMT Performance & Rehabilitation we love helping people that want to stay active, healthy, in the activities they love, and living the lifestyle they deserve. We have helped people of all ages and fitness levels – from CrossFit athletes, hockey athletes, high school and collegiate athletes, to parents that want to stay fit in order to keep up with the kids. The one thing we make sure you know how to do is move efficiently and take care of yourself. Our goal is to help you live the life you want free from medications, frequent doctor visits, and constant aches and pains.

When you have an acute injury from a sport or exercise like an ankle sprain, or more chronic pain in your knee, shoulder, low-back, or hips, it’s easy to want to “shake it off,” “deal with it,” or “rest and hope it goes away,” with the dream that you’ll wake the next day and it will be better. While we wish it was that easy, usually it doesn’t work like that and, in fact, the pain actually gets worse.

It’s also easy to reach for the nearest bottle of ibuprofen and pop those multiple times a day or even make an appointment to see your doctor for a stronger prescription painkiller. While that may improve the pain short-term, it’s a band-aid on your symptoms and will only mask the injury.

Things like pain medications, injections, or other services like massage or acupuncture may provide temporary relief…but then the symptoms return, and you feel even more helpless.

Maybe you have worked with other healthcare professionals – even a physical therapist or athletic trainer in the past – and nothing they did truly helped your pain stay away.

Relatable?

If that sounds like you, you’re not alone. Most of our clients at MVMT Performance & Rehabilitation have often:

  • Visited the doctor on more than one occasion and been told that their only options are “painkillers, surgery, or injections”.
  • Have been told to avoid lifts, such as squats and deadlifts, because they are “bad for your knees and back.”
  • Thought the pain would go away on its own, only to find that it didn’t.
  • Tried treatment elsewhere, maybe another physical therapy and sports medicine clinic, and had poor experiences and results.
  • Been told by a friend or family member that their pain or problem is just “a normal part of getting older” and to accept it as a “normal part of life.”
  • Have reached out to Dr. Google and tried some YouTube exercises only to see their problems worsen.
  • Thought that rest was the answer, only to find out it actually made the area tighter and more stiff.

Ben, a Crossfit athlete, worked wtih MVMT

I was diagnosed with shoulder impingement and recommended for surgery. Not keen on surgery, I waited for 10 year or so before mobility and pain became a limiting factor in my progress in crossfit. I’ve been doing physical therapy with Trevor at MVMT for ~6 weeks now and I’m already seeing tremendous improvement in mobility and far less pain.

Amy, high school swimmer

My daughter is a swimmer and had pretty bad knee pain. She didn’t have an injury she could refer the pain to, but it kept getting worse so we took her to MVMT by referral. Trevor took so much time and thoroughly evaluated, diagnosed, treated, and worked with her. The first day we went to see him she was at a level 8 for pain and by the time she left she was at a level 3. Not even a week later after doing the exercises and strength training suggested, she was at a level 0 for pain and 2 weeks out still zero pain. What we love about MVMT is the fact that they look for the root problem, not a bandaid, but the why behind an injury and how to move forward with healing. They teach you and then give you the tools to apply at home for continued care and healing. We 100% recommend MVMT!

Bennett, hockey athlete

I would highly recommend MVMT! I was struggling with ankle strength/mobility issues and low back pain. I noticed a difference after the first session. I have had these issues for a number of years and have tried other places, but did not feel much of a difference. MVMT went above and beyond to make sure I would be ready for my season. Trevor is extremely knowledgeable and willing to help with whatever issues you are experiencing.
