At MVMT Performance & Rehabilitation we love helping people that want to stay active, healthy, in the activities they love, and living the lifestyle they deserve. We have helped people of all ages and fitness levels – from CrossFit athletes, hockey athletes, high school and collegiate athletes, to parents that want to stay fit in order to keep up with the kids. The one thing we make sure you know how to do is move efficiently and take care of yourself. Our goal is to help you live the life you want free from medications, frequent doctor visits, and constant aches and pains.

When you have an acute injury from a sport or exercise like an ankle sprain, or more chronic pain in your knee, shoulder, low-back, or hips, it’s easy to want to “shake it off,” “deal with it,” or “rest and hope it goes away,” with the dream that you’ll wake the next day and it will be better. While we wish it was that easy, usually it doesn’t work like that and, in fact, the pain actually gets worse.

It’s also easy to reach for the nearest bottle of ibuprofen and pop those multiple times a day or even make an appointment to see your doctor for a stronger prescription painkiller. While that may improve the pain short-term, it’s a band-aid on your symptoms and will only mask the injury.

Things like pain medications, injections, or other services like massage or acupuncture may provide temporary relief…but then the symptoms return, and you feel even more helpless.

Maybe you have worked with other healthcare professionals – even a physical therapist or athletic trainer in the past – and nothing they did truly helped your pain stay away.

  • Visited the doctor on more than one occasion and been told that their only options are “painkillers, surgery, or injections”.
  • Have been told to avoid lifts, such as squats and deadlifts, because they are “bad for your knees and back.”

  • Tried treatment elsewhere, maybe another physical therapy and sports medicine clinic, and had poor experiences and results.

Trevor and Erica are such personable and genuine people! I PowerLift and do CrossFit at CrossFit 920. I've been working with Trevor on my lower back pain, strengthening my right leg and shoulder stability. After one session of dry needling, the lower back pain went away. I used to wake up every morning with an achy back but after a few sessions that has lessen so much to none! No more aches and leaning slightly to the left when I squat! I've been incorporating more shoulder exercises and accessory work; I recently bench pressed my old PR weight for a set of 3. I haven't passed that weight in a long while so I was incredibly shocked.
