Enjoy Pain-Free Running!

Running is an incredibly dynamic sport, and it’s important that runners like you know how to take care of themselves! There is a huge chain reaction that occurs in the body with running, and if one link isn’t working optimally, it’s going to impact the rest of your body.

We’ve been lucky enough to work with a ton of runners just like you, and from that real-life experience, we have developed this guide with our top 5 tips to help you stay injury-free!

  • You need to move well, specifically in a few specific areas.
  • What’s the best running cadence? What is a running cadence? We got you.
  • Myth busted: runners need to be strong!

Are you worried about injuries like plantar fasciitis, MTSS (shin splints), IT Band or knee pain from running? How about stiffness that hasn’t gone away, no matter how many Google searches and YouTube exercises you do?

  • Are you frustrated that treatments like massage therapy, chiropractic care, or even other physical therapy clinics, haven’t worked?
  • Are you having trouble keeping up with your trainings, races, or missing out on activities you want to be a part of?
  • Are you still looking for a long-term solution so you can finally get rid of that running-related pain and back into your life?

If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, you are in the right place!

Many runners just like you in Green Bay suffer unnecessarily with long-term injuries and pains and because they’re told…

  • Just “rest it” and it’ll be fine (then months later they’re still suffering…)
  • It’s “normal” to have plantar fasciitis, shin splints, knee pain or hip pain with running. You have to “just deal with it.”
  • If you take some pills everything will be fine.
  • Rest, injections, or surgery are the only options for a bulged disc.

The truth is:

  • Resting it doesn’t change anything. You might get a small temporary relief, but then when you get active again, you’ll still be suffering from those annoying aches and pains…I bet you’ve already experienced it!)
  • It’s not normal for running to make you hurt!
  • Pain pills are addicting, dangerous, and can cause a lot of other problems with your body.
  • Prescription pain pills, injections and surgery are not the only options. Those are just the only option your physician/surgeon can offer you.

So what’s the solution?

A running book made for YOU

Mechanics of Running

It’s important to understand the chain reaction that occurs in your body when you run. How does your big toe impact your hips?

Your body is a system that works together, and we discuss how it does just that!

Mobility For Runners

Our bodies are made to move and there are certain degrees of movement that we want specific joints to reach with our runners.

If you don’t move well, your risk of injury significantly increases!

Strength

We’ve seen a shift happen and it makes us so happy to see. Runners need to be strong! Think of all the miles you put in.

If you’re not strong, how can your body manage the load placed on it while running?

Don't just take our word for it!

back pain, running

I had set a goal for myself to run a 10K but worried I would struggle training for it as I have had back pain and I didn't want it aggravated. I met with MVMT for an initial consultation and Trevor immediately found areas I could improve on to not only help my back pain but to improve my running skills. After just a few sessions, I was feeling amazing with the work Trevor had done. I continued to follow the plan Trevor created and I completed the 10K in a time I was happy with and best of all, my back felt great! I went to a more traditional physical therapy clinic in the past and they paled in comparison to MVMT. The whole session at MVMT is spent working with your physical therapist. I cannot recommend them enough!!
